Vile Wasteland: confirmed map context
Awesome Games Studio's official news archive identifies Vile Wasteland as the second area, added with Update 0.3. The same official retrospective says that update added new enemies, six Survivor abilities, and eleven items. It is release context, not a claim that every older detail or balance value is unchanged in the current game.
The public Steam achievement list gives the clearest usable objectives: survive until dawn, reach 10, 20, or 30 minutes in Endurance, complete Hardcore, clear Extermination, and complete a run without touching the Worm.

Choose one official objective per run
The Worm condition is an achievement target, not evidence of a fixed path, collision rule, or timing pattern. Treat it as a reason to watch the current arena closely and read the live objective text. Likewise, Endurance time milestones, Hardcore, and Extermination are separate targets; plan a run around one rather than assuming progress transfers between their requirements.
If a story mission asks for another condition, the Mission Log is the authority for that mission. Version 1.0 added the Camp and Mission Log specifically so players can check a storyline's requirement and retry an unfinished mission. Do not replace that wording with an achievement title from a different system.
Keep historical and current facts separate
The official archive establishes when Vile Wasteland arrived and the achievement list establishes public objectives. Neither source publishes current enemy spawn values, Worm damage, unlock order, boss attacks, or an optimal build. Those would need a current in-game capture with version and mode recorded.
Use the Mission & Progression Guide when a Camp objective is blocking you, and use the achievement tracker to mark the official public targets. This page will add map-specific strategy only when it can distinguish a present observation from the historical release note.
